We Rescue Cats?! YES!

Call us crazy but it turns out a community gym is the natural place to rescue cats. It all started in 2018 when our neighbor walked in one Monday evening holding a tiny tabby kitten. He had been feeding the litter of four in his backyard and was heading out of town and asked me (Michele) if I would feed them for a few days. My response? “Wouldn’t it be better if I found them homes?”

Those first four were scooped up the next morning and stayed in the gym while we did the somewhat irresponsible thing of just giving them away to family and friends. Those four kittens are still happy and healthy with their furever families but they had to handle all the “kitten things” - fleas, deworming, spay and neuter - on their own.

Over the next few years we were somehow repeatedly asked by members to rescue cats and kittens in their yards. After I got TNR certified and became friendly with other local rescuers, I learned A LOT! While the first eleven felines we rescued out of CFBT were handed off to loving friends and family, our kittens and cats are now thoroughly treated, vaccinated and neutered (or scheduled) prior to adoption. We accept donations for food and litter via our Amazon Wishlist or Venmo. We are not a non-profit but all funds are directed towards TNR and adoption efforts.

If you are interested in fostering, we are always in need. Fostering can sometimes be a 3-14 day period of letting a cat stay in your bathroom or spare room (quarantined from other cats) when they are first rescued, it can be a temporary spot for them to crash if another foster is on vacation, or it can be a 3-6 month commitment until they find their forever homes. Truffles is 3 years old and loves nothing more than head rubs, belly rubs and watching TV with you.

Dino 🦖 is about a year old and loves helping you in the kitchen! He currently lives with a big dog and loves to wrestle with him.

Willow is 2 years old and as confident and playful as they come! She likes other cats but shine as the only one in her home.

Jasper loves to roll around and comes running for Churus! He is a boisterous, playful young fellow and just needs a permanent place to crash

SNAP test for a friendly cat or kitten: $25 -$40 depending on location
